This seminar was offered through as a joint offering between CanBoat Nanaimo and Latitude Sailing. The seminar instructor is Lyle Wetsch, the owner/instructor at Latitude Sailing as well as the Commander/Communications Officer with CanBoat Nanaimo where he has served on the bridge since 2021.
It was offered as a complimentary training session as the importance of boater safety is a priority for both CanBoat Nanaimo and Latitude Sailing.
Navigating around British Columbia in some areas can provide challenges with currents, tides, anchoring, weather, etc. This seminar goes though a detailed step-by-step process of the tools, online resources, books, apps, and software that is available to help you be comfortable with your planning (both pre-trip and while underway).
